Hammy Skrabs is the professional pseudonym and recording moniker of Hamilton Skrabanek.
A lifelong musician, Hamilton began classical piano lessons at a young age; as angst and adolescence set in, he briefly abandoned the instrument for the saxophone, and ultimately the guitar.
With a renewed focus, Hamilton pursued music throughout college, studying jazz and composition while expanding his instrumental repertoire.
Over time, Hamilton has performed in a wide range of group settings and solo projects, taking on different musical roles as needed and developing a broad, practical understanding of how music functions from the inside out. This experience, paired with years of study and practice, has led to a deep command of music theory, improvisation, and arrangement — skills that continue to shape both his writing and performance.
Today, Hamilton writes and records original music under the name Hammy Skrabs, condensing a lifetime of influence into a simple focus: to keep learning, experimenting, and making music.
